NCCPH, Inc.

Welcome to the home of the North Carolina Citizens for Public Health, Inc.  We are a 501(c)(3) organization that is an outgrowth of a 1976 Citizens' Conference on Public Health.  Conference participants expressed a strong need for citizen participation in public health and recommended the formation of a group or organization to promote citizens' involvement.  Thus the North Carolina Citizens for Public Heath was born.

Our Purpose:

• Promote public health for the benefit of the citizens of the State of North Carolina by increasing citizen involvement in all phases of public health.
• Identify and clarify the role of public health agencies.
• Help citizens better understand, support and utilize the resources available or needed.

What NCCPH Offers Public Health

• Statewide membership along with statewide professional affiliations.
• Citizen representation on public health issues with policy makers.
• Presentation of public health information to policy makers at all levels of government.
• Support for public health training programs and students including practical experience opportunities.
• Sounding board for public health programs.
